Dennis graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Risk Management and Insurance. He began his career specializing in the large account employee benefit market with Gulf Group Services in Jacksonville. He was awarded the company’s “Rookie of the Year” award his first year and moved up the organization rapidly to Account Executive position in Tampa. From 1990-1998, he moved to Florida Blue as a Major Account Manager. He demonstrated a consistent track record of new business success while managing over a 30 million dollar block of in-force business. In 1998, Dennis joined a local brokerage operation as Vice President of Financial Services for seven (7) years. As President of Barnes Insurance & Financial Services he has established a reputation with clients on the principles of providing a high level of personal service, customer satisfaction and a commitment to excellence.

Glenn graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Management. He started his career at a Fortune 500 company as an Employee Relations Manager and worked in that capacity for nine years. He was responsible for managing the human resources function for eight-hundred (800) employees in five manufacturing and distribution facilities located in Florida and Alabama.
From 1999 to 2005, Glenn worked in the Marketing Department at Florida Blue servicing and renewing both large and small groups. As a member of Florida Blue’s prestigious President’s Club, Glenn was recognized for his accomplishments. Glenn has quickly built a reputation for providing his clients sound, honest advice.
While at Floria Blue, Glenn was assigned many large groups including: Gulf Power, Berg Steel Pipe, St. Joe Company, Peoples First Properties, Sallie Mae, City of Pensacola, City of Fort Walton Beach, City of Panama City, City of Apalachicola, Escambia County, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Rosa County School District, Okaloosa County School District, Jackson County School District, Jackson County, Bay County, Bay District Schools, Washington County School District and Calhoun County School District. Glenn is a native of Ashville, Alabama but today resides with his family in Navarre, Florida. He is an active member of Navarre Methodist Church, Gulf Breeze Rotary, and Auburn Alumni Association.
Wendy has 20 years’ experience in the investment and financial services industry and is dedicated to helping individuals understand and meet their financial goals. As an Independent Financial Advisor with Barnes Insurance and Financial Services she provides quality, nonproprietary financial products and services.
The first 15 years of her career she worked in bank Wealth Management Divisions as a Trust and Fiduciary Specialist. The last 5 years she has worked as a Financial Advisor recommending and implementing investment and insurance solutions to meet her clients’ unique needs and objectives. She is insurance and security licensed and holds the designation of Certified Wealth Strategist – CWS®.
Wendy graduated from the University of West Florida with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees. Wendy is a native of Pensacola and is active in the community. Her community involvement includes:

Johnnie began her insurance career in 1990 where she worked for four years as a receptionist with a small local insurance agency in Jacksonville, Florida. After a brief time living overseas, she returned to Jacksonville in 1997 and secured a position with Humana. During her tenure she worked closely with customer service, grievance & appeals, credentialing, quality assurance, medical claims review and administration. Johnnie brings to Barnes Insurance & Financial Services a multifaceted insurance base and a unique welcoming spirit and smile which our clients compliment her on.
Johnnie currently resides in Navarre, Florida with her husband and 3 dogs.
A native of Douglas, Georgia, Barbara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Auburn University. She then utilized her educational skills in both Florida and Georgia as a classroom teacher.
Barbara began her insurance career in 1992 and became licensed in the life and health insurance field. She has over 14 years experience in the Employee Benefits area and currently plays a critical role in the rapid growth of Barnes Insurance and Financial Services. She brings our clients a set of unique customer service skills, allowing them to take advantage of her excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational abilities.
Active in the community, Barbara has served on the Board of Directors of FavorHouse, the Board of Directors of Gulf Breeze Rotary, Church Council of Gulf Breeze Methodist Church, and Greater Pensacola Area Society of Human Resource Management.
A six-year veteran in the field of employee benefits administration, Elizabeth Penfield joined Barnes Insurance and Financial Services in February of 2014 and, in April of 2014, successfully achieved appointment as a licensed insurance agent in the state of Florida. Elizabeth is also a “Retirement Plan Fundamentals” certificate holder as affirmed by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Elizabeth’s background in the accounting and 401(k) plan administration industry makes her uniquely qualified to provide comprehensive technical support to clients while delivering courteous and attentive customer service that is sensitive to the needs of small to mid-size employers and their employees.
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Kansas in May of 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in English. Elizabeth studied a wide variety of disciplines during her time at KU, including business administration, mathematics, and technical and creative writing.

Hoke graduated from Duke University in 1956 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following graduation he joined the Pension and Group Insurance Department of The Travelers Insurance Company. Thus began a lengthy career in the Employee Benefits Industry that spans more than a half century.
Hoke has held Management and Sales positions with US, Canadian, and Regional pension and healthcare companies including MetLife, The Travelers, Crown Life, State Mutual, Gulf Life and UnitedHealthcare. His management responsibilities have at times included responsibility for Sales and Administrative field offices throughout the Southern United States and the Caribbean. He is the recipient of numerous corporate management and sales awards.
Hoke moved to the Florida Panhandle from Tampa in 2004 while employed by UnitedHealthcare’s Commercial Small Business unit. In October 2012, Hoke joined Barnes Insurance and Financial Services.
His focus is helping Employers successfully navigate Health Care Reform, avoid potential penalties, employ cost reduction strategies, and adjust to the realities of a changing health care environment. His interest in Health Care Policy dates back to his service in 1968 as a board member of a local Health Services Agency mandated by the National Health Planning and Resources Development Act of 1967.
Hoke is a native of Key West and a US Army active duty veteran. He and his wife, Lynn, reside in Navarre with their two Cocker Spaniels where they enjoy travel, music, reading and entertaining friends and family.
Jeanne came to Barnes Insurance and Financial Services with five years of experience in the Insurance Brokerage business. Jeanne’s employee benefit insurance background began in Jefferson City, Missouri as an Executive Assistant and Account Manager for an insurance brokerage, where she provided client services for a large group of self-funded hospitals, as well as several fully insured groups.
At Barnes Insurance and Financial Services, Jeanne continues to provide excellent customer service for both public and private entities utilizing her organizational and detail oriented skills.
Jeanne is the Account Manager for publicly funded groups such as Holmes County School Board, and Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition.
Jeanne currently resides in Navarre, Florida with her husband and 4 children.
Bill majored in Business Marketing at Florida State University and began his insurance career in 1980 with Allstate Insurance Company. He ran a successful agency for 30 plus years. After selling Roberts Insurance Agency in 2011 he joined Barnes Insurance and Financial Services a year later. He is very proud of this transition because he feels that “the reputation that this organization has earned reflects the way I have always tried to conduct my professional and personal life.”
Bill will specialize in providing health insurance options for his clients, all the while giving them honest advice and outstanding service. His association with Barnes Insurance will provide him the opportunity to draw from the firm’s extensive knowledge and experience in the health insurance field.
As a native of Okaloosa County, Bill is deeply rooted in Northwest Florida and has been active in his community throughout his adult life. He understands the values of ethical, hard working, and compassionate people. He has served as President of the YMCA and the All Sports Association as well as being a Little League coach, Booster club President, and long time member of his local Chamber of Commerce. Bill is a former Mayor and Councilman of Ft. Walton Beach and also a former three term Okaloosa County Commissioner. He has served on many boards, and in 2008 he was the first person from Northwest Florida to be appointed to Florida’s Century Commission by the Governor of Florida.
Bill and his wife, Debi, have been married for 41 years. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law and one grandson.
Keith studied broadcasting and business management while at Liberty University. He has worked in marketing in the Pensacola area for over twenty years. Keith has developed a reputation for providing his clients with honest, dependable, sound advice.
He is a member of Pensacola North Rotary and is an active member of Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon and has participated in mission projects in Alaska and Costa Rica.
Keith, his spouse, and two daughters are Pensacola natives. Keith spends his spare time honing his photography skills.
Nolan specializes in providing groups a full complement of insurance and exemplary customer service. He understands the market in Florida and provides the best options for his clients. Nolan began his career serving in the United States Air Force with four years on active duty and proudly served an additional seven years in the Air Force Reserves. His experience in sales for four years with the noted Don Alan’s men’s store enabled him to hone his customer service skills with attention to detail while expertly handling the daily expectations of his clients.
Nolan graduated from Colorado Technical University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management. He hails from Oklahoma, but today lives with his wife and two children in Milton, Florida. He is an active member of the Milton Rotary and Pensacola Young Professionals.
Evelyne specializes in providing health and life insurance for Northwest Floridians. She is experienced in the individual and group insurance options now available due to the Affordable Care Act. As well as Medicare Advantage, Supplemental and Part D Prescription Plans.
After a successful career in banking in Louisiana and Texas, Evelyne moved to the Florida panhandle in 1995 to work in Baptist Healthcare’s finance and budgeting department.
While taking a career break to raise her family, Evelyne had the opportunity to live in Northern California (Silicon Valley) for several years. Upon returning to Pensacola, Evelyne taught in the Santa Rosa County School District before joining the insurance industry.
Evelyne is originally from the Netherlands and speaks fluent Dutch. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Business Administration.
Linda Tutt came to Barnes Insurance as a licensed insurance agent with over 20 years in meeting client expectations. Being the wife of a military officer, she has lived all over the United States, as well as, overseas. These moves have enabled her to gain experience working in a variety of different environments, while enhancing her customer service skills.
Linda graduated from San Jose University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and completed her Master’s Degree in Business from Central Michigan University. She is detail oriented with a distinct interest in providing a service level to her clients that exceeds the usual expectations.
Currently living in the Gulf Breeze area, Linda is an active volunteer with United Way, the Boy Scouts and the local schools.
